How to Clean Stuff A rough guide to estimating Washroom cleaning times

This list is not intended to be 100% accurate but merely a guide to the possible time involved in properly cleaning a washroom facility.

Toilet - 2.0 mins - includes restocking paper
Urinal - 3.5 mins - multi user floor trough type
Urinal - 0.75 mins - single user wall mount type
Mirror - 0.5 mins per metre with squeegee
Soap dispenser - 1.75 mins - includes restocking soap
Paper towel dispenser - 2 mins - includes restocking towels
Manual floor washing - allow about 0.5 mins per square metre

Considerations: Is the washroom open during cleaning , distance from paper and soap supplies, floor type, distance to rubbish disposal, difficult cart access.
What time savings are available due to size or age of facility being cleaned.
What cleaning tools will assist in reducing cleaning time without loss of cleaning quality?
Sani bin disposal in female area is assumed to be under a separate contract

Tip: Take care when cleaning Marble floors and surfaces. Do not use acid based cleaners as they can break down the Marble structure. If using an acid based toilet cleaner minimize over spray and wipe up any spills.
If required to lay floor finish in washrooms be aware that urine spoils polished floor surfaces. Allow for extra polish re coating near urinals and toilet bowls.
